Email App and Storage

I have just permanently deleted many emails from the email app on my

iPhone.  Before I did this I checked how much storage space was being used

for email app and it was 2.22GB.   However I have just checked

storage space under general, settings and under the email app and it still says

2.22GB.  I have also forced a restart but still the same! Any ideas?

If you delete e-mail messages, and you immediately go to check, you will see it as if nothing has been deleted.

You have to give the server time to actually delete all those messages.

That again depends on the home network speed and the amount of messages to be deleted.

It is better to log in to the webmail service and delete the messages from there, then it will go a little faster.

Contact also your ISP.
