my MacBook adaptor doesn't work

Is it more red or Orange, because I don't recall that red has never been used. Flashing indicates a problem and Apple has suggestions for how to resolve it, but then if it doesn’t work you might need to have it looked at.

sudo pmset restoredefaults

and compare your results
