2023 MagSafe adaptor flashing even after cleaning. No charge on laptop

MacBook Pro 2023 adaptor started flashing, I restarted the computer & cleaned the port & it’s still flashing & not charging. My battery is now dead, & I live in a country where MacBook support isn’t available/extremely limited (there’s not even an apple shop)

Please let me know if anything has worked for your besides the obvious clean.

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 13.3

Does the Computer boot when connected to power?

Did you try a different magsafe charger?

Did you try USBC cable charging and compare your results?

Thanks for this.

  • It doesn’t not boot. I was just doing an SMC reboot when it died on me. I’m guessing I can’t do a safe boot with it off
  • The only person I know with a Mac here lives 7 hours away - I can check the city a few hours away maybe
  • I don’t have somewhere to connect the USB, unless I can use my iPhone charger? It’s 2023 so it’s the new apple USB port
  • I called the 1 trust worth MAC place on the island & although listed on the apple site they said they don’t have a specialist atm

Thanks again
