Magsafe 3 Not Working

My MagSafe 3 charger stopped working on my Macbook Pro 14in M2 Pro chip. The charger blinks orange for about a minute and then it turns off and the laptop is not charging.

I have tried resetting my computer and cleaning the port and the charger of debris. I tried using multiple power outlets as well as testing the power bank, which works with other cables (lighting and USB-C) to charge my phone and iPad. I also tried a brand new MagSafe 3 charger and the same issue persists.

Just today I tried charging my laptop with a USB-C charger using one of the ports in the laptop and these do work fine! It's just the MagSafe 3 port that does not seem to be working. I'm guessing this could be a magnet issue in the port itself. Has anyone had this same issue before or have been able to resolve it?

I saw a somewhat similar issue with one of my organization's M-series laptops. In our case the Logic Board was at fault. It sounds like you have done some great troubleshooting here, so I think you will need to have Apple or an AASP examine the laptop to provide you with a repair estimate.

I guess you can try a DFU firmware Revive which resets the security enclave & system firmware.

Or if you can live with charging the laptop using USB-C, then you can save yourself some money assuming the problem does not get any worse.
