AirTag in Rental Car Tracking Me Hi Recently I rented a car for 1 day from a car-sharing platform. When I reached home, my iPhone began to popup screens and messages that "AirTag Detected Near You", "Allow Find My yo use Your location" and I wasn't sure why is it so. I then went for the second drive for more than 5 hours, and I was surprised that it showed the route that I took. I parked the car in a quiet car park and heard a very faint 'peep' sound somewhere near to the hand brake. May I ask what is the purpose of AirTag and why is it installed in the car? Using Air Tag I tried to use Air Tag on my car as it’s been stolen before. However, on testing it on my sons car he was notified that he was being tracked by me. Is there a way of turning this off so the thief dot know there’s a tag in the car?
