Unwanted typing from microphone

I have an iPad Pro, IOS 15.5. If I am using any function which requires typing (i.e. using Notes, tying a text, typing in a URL, etc.) when I have not employed the typing via voice function by clicking microphone icon, my iPad types any words it hears from TV set, nearby conversations, etc. How do I turn this this “feature” off. I tried turning the device off and back on again, and the problem still occurs.

Hello CajunBlazer,

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities, and we'll be happy to help in any way we can. We understand you're having issues with Dictation enabling itself when you try to type. You can turn this feature off by going to Settings > General > Keyboard > and turn off Enable Dictation.

We hope this helps.

Cheers!
