I purchased a ring tone and it will only let me listen to it … it will not let me use it as a ringtone

I purchased dark horse by Katy Perry for a ringtone and it will not let me use it as a ring tone only lets me listen to it

Ringtone/Text tone issue. I recently upgraded my iPhone to the 15 pro from iPhone 10. I set my custom ring tones on my new phone and they only show up on my ringtone section. Now, my biggest issue is since they aren't showing up in my text tone option. I decided to test a theory and bought a ring tone. When I PURCHASED the new ringtone it asked me if I wanted to set it to a text tone and I said yes.. Now here's the problem, it did not set as a text tone. It is ONLY showing up as a ringtone. It is very displeasing to go through this. Please tell me this is a bug and I didn't just waste money on something I can't use as a text tone.

Why can’t I use my ringtones for my text tones? Long time ago, in a distant land, I purchased a ringtone and was able to use it as a text tone. Now all of a sudden two days ago it disappeared, and it only lets me use it for ringtones, not text tones. On my other iPhone, using a different Apple ID it works just fine and gives me the options to use text tones for ringtones and vice versa. Apple what is going on and why is it not working all of a sudden?

cuts off start of ringtone Using this for the first time and worked ok apart from the first few seconds of the song didn’t make it to the ring tone. I adjusted the sliders so it starts right at the start and have tried a few times but still cuts off the start when played as a ringtone. Any help appreciated. Cheers

Did you go to settings>sounds & haptics & tap download purchased ringtones?
