I understand that subsequent to migrating information from your older Mac, Safari is not opening.

Two suggestions:

  • Try pressing and holding a Shift key while launching Safari from Applications or the Dock. That action launches Safari without opening any previously loaded pages that may be causing trouble.
  • Determine if the same problems occur in "Safe Mode": How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support. Then restart your Mac normally (not "Safe Mode").
