Unlocking phone without using the touchscreen

My screen is unresponsive and I need to unlock the phone to back it up before getting a new one. I don't have facial recognition set up or Siri and I use imazing to back it up so it's not in itunes. It needs a new screen but I can't afford the repair and have another phone to put it all on to but the process requires unlocking my old phone and basically using the screen (which I cannot do since it's unresponsive). The phone boots fine and can enter recovery mode but I don't want it wiped since I need the pictures and notes only on that phone.

No. It is not possible to unlock an iPhone without using the screen. The FBI asked that of Apple several years ago and got that same answer, so the FBI paid an outside agency $980,000 get into one phone. And the method that was used will no longer work.

The phone is designed so it is totally secure; even Apple can’t unlock it, because if they could courts could make them do it.

Actually, the one thing they can do is replace the screen, which they can usually do without erasing the phone.
