Taptic engine dysfunctional

This has already happened over twenty times over the past few weeks. My iPhone SE (2020) taptic engine will completely stop working, so it can’t vibrate, do system haptics, sometimes the home button doesn’t work.

Restarting fixes the issue, but only until it fails again.

My iPhone XR quit vibrating. XR quit vibrating. There is not even the option to turn it on under settings/haptics. Have the most recent updates installed. If it's an internal vibration motor problem, I understand but why wouldn't the option to use it at least be on the menu?

However, it hasn’t done it at all today, so I’m hoping it’s started functioning normally again.
