I disabled the ‘live text’ on my iPad and now scan text doesn’t pop up

I disabled the ‘live text’ in the language section of my general settings and now scan text doesn’t pop up but neither does my keyboard so I can’t order things in my email…can anyone help further along than this button so my keyboard will come back?

Just to make sure we are understanding, the iPad keyboard is missing and not popping up when you need to input something into a text field. Is that correct? If so, let's start with the basics. As with all unexpected iPad behavior, try taking the following steps which may help with this: restart your iPad, make sure it is up to date, close the affected app(s), then reopen it and make sure all apps are updated.
