I forgot my passcode but if I restore will I still lose everything?

If you forgot your passcode and if your phone is disabled, it is too late to save your data. You need to restore your phone and then reload your most recent backup.

You shouldn’t lose anything if you’ve got an up to date iCloud or iTunes backup to restore from once you erase it to reset the screen lock passcode.

But without a backup, yes, you will lose data. There is no way around that now as there is only one way to reset the passcode and that requires erasing the device.
