Stopping Unknown Texts esp. Political Ads/Texts

I have all the settings set up properly to block unknown texts yet I am still getting ~10 texts today from people not in my Address Book which is getting very annoying. Most of these are political ads/text not even in my area code which is a huge waste of time.

Tp be clear, I have done the following:

  1. Messages>Filter Unknown Senders and turned on
  2. Notifications>Customized Notifications>Message>Unknown Senders and turned on
  3. Blocked individual numbers when the text comes but they constantly change their phone numbers so this seems to be a waste
  4. On Phone>Silence Unknown Caller and turned On

Even though I have all these setting like this for 2 months I am still getting unwanted texts.

What else should I try?

Report spam or junk in the Messages app

You can report iMessages that look like spam or junk from the Messages app. If you get an iMessage from someone who's not saved in your Contacts, you'll see a Report Junk link under the message.

Tap Report Junk, then tap Delete and Report Junk. Messages will forward the sender's information and the message to Apple, as well as delete the message from your device. You can't undo deleting a message.

Reporting junk doesn't block the sender from being able to send another message. If you don't want to receive these messages, you need to block the contact.

To report SMS and MMS messages, contact your carrier.
