Mac locked on application in finder

How do I force quit finder when my only option given is reload?


iMac 21.5″ 4K, macOS 11.5

Hi, reload is a way of forcing quit and reopening the finder again. However, if you must quit Finder: Go to Activity Monitor(app) > find Finder > Go to the bar on the activity monitor's window and find the circle with an "x" label(shaped as the close button), and click quit(or force quit). Finder then won't open until you click it on the dock.
