Crashes when unsubscribing

When I "unsubscribe" from those unsolicited emails that show up, my computer routinely crashes. A moment later, a window appears with a bunch of coded stuff saying it's being reported to Apple and an option to reopen mail. This didn't use to happen. Any ideas to correct this?


MacBook Pro, iOS Big Sur 11.6.7 using Mail v14.0

I understand Mail is crashing every time you try to unsubscribe from a mailing list.


To be clear, are you using the "Unsubscribe" link that appears near the top of the email message (example below)?



Please determine if the same problems occur in "Safe Mode": How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support.
