Orientation by sections
All other editors can put a section in portrait and another section in landscape. Pages changes the orientation for the entire document.

That is true. Pages does not support changes in page orientation within the same document.

Questionable, but if you do have a need for an editor application that does support changes in page orientation within the same document, you should have a variety of choices if the "All" statement is correct.

Pages has always used a unified page orientation restriction throughout the document, unless you inserted an image or PDF page, and rotated it 90 degrees. If you need mixed page orientation in a document, then the current Microsoft Word supports that feature.
You use the Pages menu > Provide Pages Feedback to get your request to the Pages Product team. These are fellow-user supported public communities, and neither Apple (except the hosting team), nor the product teams participate, or read the posts here.
Yes i know, but this is my recommendation to fix this and turn pages better =D
