2 of 3 USB ports not working on 2007 iMac

A subwoofer running through a stereo connected to the iMac via a Griffin interface shorted and apparently has disabled 2 of the 3 USB ports in the rear of the iMac. The keyboard and any additional peripherals that are attached to the remaining port works. What is the procedure for resetting these ports (if possible). Here are the screen images that I have gotten after restarting via the power button.

There is no procedure to fix electrically shorted ports; physical damage needs to be evaluated by Apple hands on.

Have you tried restarting the iMac?

Maybe even try powering off the iMac and unplugging it. Hold the power button for a minute, then reconnect power and try again.

Otherwise your Logic Board is has been permanently damaged.

Edit: Your simplest least expensive option would be to use a good brand of powered USB hub to use on the remaining working USB port.
