I cannot erase the files “install macos Catalina” “install macOs Mojave” and “install macOS High Sierra”

I cannot erase the files “install macos Catalina” “install macOs Mojave” and “install macOS High Sierra” that i had downloaded but could not install, don’t ask why that’s another long story. Right now i just want to delete these three files because they are large and take up a lot of memory which is scarce already.

i will send the get info that i cannot unlock and the trash where the three files are.

how can i unlock these files so i can delete them. I unlock the little padlock in get info but it didn’t change anything.

i have also received this message:

MacBook Pro 13″, OS X 10.11

Perhaps to try & use Safe mode on startup; then 'less system' is loaded

and you should be able to remove items in the Trash; then just restart.

Once the Mac has started in Safe mode, you shouldn't have to do more

than what you need. (Additional details in article, often aren't needed.)

There may be another means to remove those download/installers

from Trash.~ But this could be easier compared to understanding a

developer article from Apple support. However: there may be more

to the developer article, beyond just removal of items from Trash.

Sorry K Shaffer it didn’t work in safe mode the files were still locked.

and im worried about using this recovery mode and disabling SIP, I’ve never done this recovery mode let alone entering commands, im afraid to screw it up and be left with a Mac that doesn’t work at all. Why does apple makes a simple thing so complicated.

Anyway thanks a lot for all your help. Im sort of stuck.
