Cloning a Macintosh HD w Disk Utiliy error OSStatus error 60

I am following the steps to create a clone out of my HD drive on a Mac mini late 2012 and, after all the waiting (6+ hours) I keep on getting an error message: Restore process has faile....Could not fix UUIDs fot APFS volumes in container/dev/disk4s1. The operation couldn't be completed. (OSStatus error 60) Operation failed.

I have highlited the External SSD, preformated same APFS as the Macintosh HD.

Thanks anyone in advance for your time to share some advise.

Mac mini, macOS 10.14

Definitely agree with the suggestion to use Carbon Copy Cloner since Disk Utility is not that great of an app especially for cloning a macOS boot drive.

Either you have an extremely large hard drive to scan with First Aid, or your drive has a hardware issue (or perhaps a cable issue). Try running DriveDx to check the health of the hard drive. Post the complete DriveDx text report here using the "Additional Text" icon which looks like a piece of paper.
