I just received this Apple Watch 2 as a used gift. Watch has been wiped and reset. When I go to pair it with the iPhone 13, it goes through the pairing process, but then says that the Apple Watch needs an update, but the iPhone needs to be updated first. iPhone is completely updated to 15.5. So I'm stuck.
Any ideas on how to get the watch updated so it can pair? Thanks.
The Apple Watch series 3 and older can be very difficult to pair to iPhones running iOS 15. Do you have an older iPhone where you can pair it to, then unpair it from that one and pair it to your new iPhone? I have gotten a series 0 watch to work on iOS 15 this way
Good luck with this! We had Series 3 watches that wouldn't pair to the 13. We had to get new watches.
