Why can't I share my Wi-Fi through Wi-Fi?

Hi there. I have an iPad and I want to connect it to my MacBook Air's Wifi but I don't know how to do it since I cant share Wi-Fi through Wi-Fi.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.4

Sorry? So your Mac is connected to WiFi and you want to share that connection to your iPad using WiFi… is that what you’re saying?

If so, you can’t do that. There is only one WiFi radio in the Mac, it can not both connect to a WiFi network and create a WiFi network at the same time.

Just connect your iPad to the existing WiFi network.
