How to adjust properties for external HD (to read and write)
Fist; sorry for my bad English!
I could use some help. I installed my new MacStudio (OS Monterey 12.3.1). I'dd like to use my external HD, which I used before on my old iMac. It's a Seagate Expansion Drive.
The problem I found is; I can't write to the external HD. (Just read).
Ik know I can switch in section 'info' of the disk to: (share and authorizations) read and write.
> the properties of my new Mac, shows already 'read & write'
> Just to be sure, I wanted to change the two options underneath (staff and everyone) also to read and write. But then I get the message that I don't have enough properties to change. (even when I unlocked the small lock down below).
> I even attached the HD to my old iMac (I thought perhaps that device does have the right properties),
and switched all three the users (Mac - staff and everyone) to read and write, but switching back to the MacStudio, there is no difference - I still can't write new documents on the HD.
Perhaps anyone has the answer how to resolve this issue?
Thanks in advance!
