Is the Apple iphone 6 being phased out?

Model 6 production, firstly released in 2014, was discontinued in 2016, and it cannot be updated beyond 12.5.5 iOS version.

iPhone 6 is an outdated iPhone (9 september 2014), can’t be update to a higher iOS.

iOS 12.5.5 is last security updates for iPhone 6 -> released 23 september 2021.

No, the iPhone 6 is not being phased out. It will continue to work as long as you want it to. You just won’t be able to update it newer versions of iOS and you won’t be able to take advantage of new features offered by those newer versions.

But it will still make and receive phone calls, still run the current apps it has installed and still be very usable. Some are still using even older iPhones than the 6.
