M1 Air internal DAC or should i buy an external DAC?

Apple says: DAC is built into Mac notebooks introduced in 2021 or later, but in the

compatibility list I don't see M1 Air

(Play high sample rate audio on MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, or Mac Studio - Apple Support)

I want use amplifier+speakers usually with mp3 320kbps,but sometimes FLAC or Apple lossless.

Should I buy DAC or the internal DAC is enough for listening a normal Quality.

Sound quality on M1 Pro. I use to have a Dell XPS 9550,and the sound using headphones (ATH-M50x) was better than the M1 Pro that i am using now. I am listening music from you tube and other websites,but still the quality is not the same comparing with Dell. Why Apple doesn't a have a software built in,like Maxx Audio Pro from Dell. Thank you.

Best way to connect MacBook Pro 14 2021 to 5.1 audio system? Does MacBook Pro 14 2021 support 5.1 audio output through the 3.5mm jack? If not what would be the best way to connect it to a 5.1 audio system and get true 5.1 audio? Thanks in advance!
