How do you permanently disable Apple nagging about 2FA

Every now and then iOS, usually after an iOS update, I am asked to log back into with my Apple ID. It then nags me to set up 2FA even though I have gone thru the process in the past to not enable 2FA.

How do you permanently disable iOS/WatchOS from nagging about setting this up?

My 80 year old mother isn't using her phone to bank, doesn't have OnlyFans pics, nor is she trading crypto from her phone.

Let the person who uses/owns the phone decide what is important to them and how much security they feel they need, instead of making a nagging user experience that is confusing to non-technical people and is impossible to permanently turn off.

The problem is, even after turning it off, after an iOS update when it prompts you to log back in to your iCloud account it nags you each time to turn on 2FA.

The UX is confusing to non-technical people and is easy to accidentally turn it on, which leads to another P.I.T.A user experience to undo that.

It might appear that the efforts to avoid 2FA is what’s causing the confusion.

If your Mom’s phone is appropriately configured - presumably by you - she’ll never even need to know it’s there or have need to use it.

Plus - by your own description - she is likely more vulnerable to the numerous account takeover scams circulating - usually received via SMS text - and for whom the 2FA would be most beneficial.

We can certainly help you get it setup and running smoothly.
