Iphone13 has someone else’s phone number listed in messages

“Sharing name and photo bot available” message: “sharing name and photo is not available because icloud and imessage accounts are different or are not signed in” BUT icloud is signed in properly to right name and phone. When I go to edit and remove the incorrect number I get the above message. How can I fix this?
