Hi there,

Apple's AirPods Pro's use a sophisticated Apple H1 chip allowing the AirPods to come back online on the Find My network as soon as the AirPods are connected to an charger, or have the case opened. Apple's Find My system was most likely not glitched as when the AirPods had been taken away, one Airpod may have connected and shown it's location as being in one place, while the other AirPod would have been idle and did not connect to the network.

Overall, this may not have been a glitch, but a place where someone took that AirPod out of the case and attempted to use it. As you have mentioned that you have lost your AirPods a few months ago and the AirPods have suddenly updated recently, I would consider turning on Lost Mode on your Apple AirPods.

Lost mode allows the AirPods to display a pop-up message on all Apple devices forcing the user to either contact the owner via phone or email. This mode also prevents the AirPods from being connected to any devices which are not linked to your Apple account.

All the best,
