Message not appearing on all devices.

I have 3 iPads and an iPhone. One of my iPads (my newest one) does not get text messages from one user. I have a service, that sends me a text, it appears on all the other devices. If I search for it on the ipad it doesn’t work on, it finds old messages from that service. These old messages were from before I got the ipad. I have power cycled, and made sure they are using the same user account. The rest of the text/iMessages appear across all devices.

so if your iPad has 'old messages' from before you got it.. you must be using messages in iCloud..

Did you forward the texts to your new iPad by going to your iPhone Settings > Messages > Text Message Forwarding and making sure the switch for the new iPad is turned on?
