Xfinity Stream on Apple TV 4K

The new Xfinity Stream app on the Apple TV 4K device is seriously flawed. In order to watch live TV, the Apple TV device must be connected through Xfinity wi-fi. This makes no sense if you are at a different location other than home. The app works fine anywhere on mobile devices such as the iPad. So why can't it work on the Apple TV 4K device when connected to another ISP?

Xfinity Stream no longer works on Apple TV device? I got an Xfinity broadband Internet and streaming package last spring. It was supposed to include Xfinity Stream with live TV channels, Apple TV+, Netflix, and Peacock. I purchased a new Apple TV 4K Wi‑Fi + Ethernet with 128GB storage streaming device from the Apple Store and initiated it on the Xfinity network. Everything worked fine for a couple of months, but in approximately August, Xfinity Stream stopped working on my TV via the Apple TV device. (The Xfinity Stream app will work on my iPhone or MacBook.) I've deleted and reinstalled the app on Apple TV, rebooted the Xfinity modem, and attempted to log into the Xfinity Stream on Apple TV numerous times, but get this each time: It appears that Xfinity Stream is no longer compatible with Apple TV? Perhaps a contract dispute?

Cannot access WGN TV streaming on my Apple TV app? Trying to watch WGN TV on my Apple TV plus app on a smart TV. Unable to do so if I search WGN-TV nothing happens.

That is something you would have to take up with Xfinity as it is their app/service.
