Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and iPad Air Gen 5

Hi, I’m asking about the compatibility of Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and iPad Air Generation 5.

The iPad has Touch ID, but it seems limited to the power button sensor. Is there any way to use the Magic Keyboard’s Touch ID scanner to unlock the iPad?

I want to know more about Switch Controls and Assistive Touch. I use my iPad to play fighting games. I want to be able to press a key on my keyboard, and have it press a user-defined location on the screen.

I’ve seen that this could be possible with Switch Controls, but haven’t figured it out.

The game I play does not have native keyboard support. I expect to be creating keybinds where a keystroke presses a specific location on the screen.

This seems like quite a long shot, and I will be getting a controller soon. But I would love to know if it’s possible.

Thanks for reading!

The Apple Magic Keyboard for Mac, that incorporates a TouchID sensor, is not supported by iPad. For TouchID functions on iPad, you must use the iPad’s own TouchID sensor.
