My photo icon disappeared for screen

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities! To add the Photos app back to your Home Screen, locate it in the App Library. You can access it by following this guidance:

From your Home Screen, swipe left until you see the App Library. 

Once you see Photos, tap and hold it, then drag it to where you want it to go on your screen. This will allow you to access Photos from your Home Screen again. Find more about the App Library and organizing your apps here: Organize the Home Screen and App Library on your iPhone.
