Is it possible to set up Apple Home Pods in stereo mode using Linksys Velop AX4200 mesh routers

Hi, I am looking at buying Linksys Velop AX4200 mesh system to extend the coverage in our rather large house. Current we have been using discontinued Apple Airports extreme and express. Would anyone know if it is possible to set up Home Pods (both types but not in same pair) in a stereo mode using Home app. Accord to specs on Apple accessories shop Velop is compatible with both types of HomePods and as well Home app can be set up on it too. But I do not want to find out after buying Velop set they do not work in a stereo mode. Please let me know if anyone had some experience with similar mesh system and HomePods.

The stereo should work if you set them up with a wifi extender/mesh. The Homepods need to be on the same wifi (i.e ssid) as the iPhone/iPad that you used to set them up & the same wifi/ethernet as the Mac. Those devices would need to be changed to the (new) Linksys network.

Having said that several of us have experienced Homepod connection problems with some of the "smart" routers on the market. The router settings needed to be tweaked to get them to work.

Cheers, thanks, but to do so, it seems, one needs Apple AirPlay 2. Does LinkSys support Apple Airplay 2? I have 2 HomePod Minis with may Mac in the office which is some 70 m away from my house. I had Airport Express there which was connected in a bridge mode to Airport Extreme via LAN cable and the 2 speakers worked fine in a stereo mode, then I wanted to extend the range of wifi in my office by replacing Express with Extreme (an older model with a seperate charger), and the pair of speakers would not work, only one and HomeApp would not let me to create a stereo pair. I had to reconnect Express via WiFi to get Apple AirPlay 2 then they worked, so now I have the old extreme and express in one place. So the question is if I have a Linksys Velop connected with the primary Velop via LAN cable, in my office will I be able to create a stereo pair with 2 HomePods either the original ones, which I have as well, or minis? that is not using an additional Express.
