The volume of my apple watch

When I’m listening to Spotify or something on my Apple Watch, it turns the volume to max even if I don’t touch the Digital Crown or my Apple Watch. Why dose it do that? And what can I do to make it stop doing that?

Hello Thilde05,

Let's try to unpair the system, restart and then pair the device again. Check out these steps on how to connect your watch to Bluetooth headphones or speakers.

" Pair Bluetooth headphones or speakers

You need Bluetooth headphones or speakers to listen to most audio on your Apple Watch (Siri, phone calls, voicemail, and voice memos play through the speaker on Apple Watch). Follow the instructions that came with the headphones or speakers to put them in discovery mode. When the Bluetooth device is ready, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Settings app  on your Apple Watch, then tap Bluetooth.
  2. Tap the device when it appears.

You can also tap the AirPlay button on the play screens of the Audiobooks, Music, Now Playing, and Podcasts apps to open the Bluetooth setting.

Choose an audio output

  1. Touch and hold the bottom of the screen, then swipe up to open Control Center.
  2. Tap the Audio Output icon, then choose the device you want to use.

For important information about avoiding hearing loss, see Important safety information for Apple Watch.

Monitor your headphone volume

  1. Touch and hold the bottom of the screen, then swipe up to open Control Center.
  2. Tap Edit, then tap the Add button next to the Headphone button  to add it.
  3. While listening to headphones paired to your Apple Watch, open Control Center, then tap the Headphone Volume button.
  4. A meter shows the current headphone volume.

Reduce loud sounds

Apple Watch can limit the loudness of your headphone audio to a set decibel level.

  1. Open the Settings app  on your Apple Watch.
  2. Go to Sounds & Haptics > Headphone Safety, then tap Reduce Loud Sounds.
  3. Turn on Reduce Loud Sounds, then set a level.

View loud headphone audio notifications

If you listen to loud audio through your headphones for long enough that it could affect your hearing, Apple Watch sends you a headphone notification and automatically turns down the volume to a more moderate level to protect your hearing.

To view details about headphone notifications on your iPhone, open the Health app, tap Browse, tap Hearing, tap Headphone Notifications, then tap a notification. "

Hello Thilde05,

When this occurs, are you using your iPhone at all to adjust the volume? Are you using headphones with your Apple Watch? Do you notice if the issue continues after you Restart your Apple Watch? Do you only experience this with Spotify?

Please provide us as much information as possible.

Take care!

Hello,

when this happens I am only using my Apple Watch and I am using my AirPods or a speaker. Unfortunately this issue continues even if I restart my Apple Watch and phone. Most of the times I’m listening to Spotify so it often happen when I am listening on Spotify, but have also happens when I am listening to podcasts and other things.
