Apple Watch Series Two Shuts down

Similar problem - did not use for two weeks; went to use it in pool with app, and it shut down. This shut down has happened numerous times since; it seldom stays on for more a minute. Very irritating!! Update to date in every way.

I should have the battery check out at an apple store,that is a very old watch.
