web page pops up

While I'm on a website another website pops up without my prompting it. Doesn't happen all the time but it doe happen enough to cause concern.

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.15

Fake Amazon Pop up in Safari cloudfront.net My popup blocker is on, I've deleted cache, cookies, stored sights, updated my phone and restarted it a few times. All I can find is the same information and it hasn't helped. Within a few hours this morning 16 pages have been started by the cloudfront.net. WTH?

Popup windows have legitimate uses, but most of the time they are simply annoying. To stop them, please read Block pop-ups in Safari on Mac - Apple Support.
