Mac mini

updated logic on my Mac mini and now it’s running extremely slow. As soon as I try to turn the computer on the ball of death shows up ( beach ball)

It looks like you checked out the article about how to reset the NVRAM. Although this can help in certain situations, there are other steps that we recommend you apply.


Please take a look at this article, and try all the recommended steps that are provided: If your Mac runs slowly


We also advise you to look into your Activity Monitor to see if you find any app(s) that are showing unusual performance:


In the Activity Monitor app  on your Mac, do any of the following:
1. To see disk activity, click Disk in the Activity Monitor window (or use the Touch Bar).
2. Activity Monitor tracks the number of times your Mac accesses the disk to read and write data, and shows the amount of data that’s read or written to your disk.
4. To see a graph of disk activity in the Dock, choose View > Dock Icon > Show Disk Activity.
5. To display more columns, choose View > Columns, then choose the columns you want to show.
