Samsung smart TV and AirPlay

My wife is trying to watch streaming video from an App she subscribes to Using AirPlay on a Samsung smart TV using an Iphone X. It displays OK but it looks like the resolution has a problem. It looks like everything is zoomed in cutting off the top and the bottom of the picture. It is hard to see what they are displaying if the camera is not pointing directly at the item. The TV is a Samsung QN75Q65FN. I have tried every setting I can find on the Samsung and the Iphone. The Samsung AirPLay version is 17.24.6. Any help would be appreciated.

AiPlay Mirroring mirror exactly what's on the iPhone. If the iPhone is zoomed, it will be zoomed on the TV too.

Tap the screen on the iPhone twice with one finger. This zooms in or out the video.

Alternatively, if the entire screen is zoomed in, you can tap the screen twice with 3 fingers to turn it on or off.

Thanks but that doesn't seem to help. The screen is not zoomed in when starting AirPlay and when it starts the screen is black with the airplay symbol displayed. I checked the settings on the phone for zoom and it is set to standard. I tried switching to zoom and it made no difference. Tapping the screen does nothing with one finger or three.
