Why when I share my screen on a video call with my friends all the see is a black screen?

iOS18 and Screen share not working as intended: no drawing and no remote control options. Why? I tried to use this new feature on my 15 Pro (my friend has a 16), but I can only see the other screen or show my screen to my friend on FaceTime. I cannot draw anything or control remotely the other phone (neither my friend if we do the other way around). I can’t even see the option on the bottom right part of the screen. Only the magnifying glass on the bottom left side of the screen is available. I also tried with another friend of mine and it is happening the same thing. Why is that? Maybe because I live in Europe (and so my other two friends) and Apple blocked these two feature as they did with Mirroring your iPhone on Mac?

Does the screen sharing automatically stop after you end a call with Apple support? Does the screen sharing automatically stop when you end the call with Apple support on your iPhone?

Are your friends all running iPadOS 15.1 or later?
