Updating GPU
Is there a better graphics card for my iMAC 2017 than the Radeon Pro 560 4 GB?
If so which and is it easy to change?
Thanks
Phil

The 2017 iMac is supported by Monterey and inherently the GPU that shipped with it. However, the GPU in iMacs is not upgradable… and thus, you are stuck with the Radeon Pro 560 card. Unless you do what I did, and purchase a refurbished 2020 27-in Core i7 with a higher performance Radeon Pro GPU. Apple delivered that in two days from when I placed the order.

The iMac GPU is non-replaceable. The better GPU will be in a newer iMac where the graphics hardware is actually supported by the operating system.
Thank you...
So are you saying that that the Graphics card in my iMAC is not supported? I am on 12.4
If so how can that be?
Phil
