Rereading and understanding what a prompt says sometimes is the best thing you can possibly do. Water-resistant DOES NOT equal water proof. But since your phone had water infiltrate it through the speaker ports, the best thing you can do right now is to play loud media and sounds (at maximum volume) to dislodge and remove the most liquid possible from the device. If your screen starts to turn blue or have streaks of water inside the phone or starts becoming unresponsive or jittery in movement, you will have to bring the phone for repair at the Apple Store.
