Factory Reset with Lost AppleID

I want to factory reset my daughter's 5th Gen iPad mini, but she lost her old AppleID. But I can't get past the Activation Lock. Is there a way I can make this happen? I believe it's running iPadOS15.

If you have proof of purchase (receipt with serial number for example) you can start a remove activation lock request at Apple Support

If you need help removing Activation Lock and have proof of purchase documentation, you can start an Activation Lock support request.

Normally, the purchase receipt with the serial number on it is required.

I cannot find the receipt, however, I do have the Proof of Coverage for the AppleCare+ I bought there at the store when I bought the iPad. Is that good enough?

I was able to contact the Apple Store where I purchased it and they emailed me a copy of the receipt. I have started the process from that link you provided.
