Apple TV 4K A2169 and 120hz

Hi,

I just have a fairly newbie question. I am on the looking out for a new Apple TV for my new TV. And I can see it supports HDMI 2.1 and on various site online it is stated that it supports 120hz or 120hz is coming. But that cannot be on this device right, the specs also list 4K at 60hz? It is a hardware and not software limitation?

So regardless of future features in tvOS 16 this will never support 120hz, correct? :D

Most content is 24 Hz or 25 Hz or 29.97 Hz. 60 Hz is still a novelty for input.

Your linked article does not match what Apple has published. It looks like they saw “HDMI 2.1”, and wished from there.
