Trouble with mail program

I have recently developed a problem with Mail. The whirling color wheel has appeared on the Mail screen and will not stop. When I force quit the Mail program and re-open the email that was previously open opens and the whirling circle returns immediately and I can't do anything to the email. Help!

deleting blank emails with "untitled" written on the message tab When Mail app is opened, the normal window is overlaid with a faded blank email message. It cannot be deleted using red button, menu delete commands, or any other tool that I can think of. I can minimize it with yellow button, but it reopens any time I give a command in Mail. Sometimes it shows up with a single tab that is untitled and some times the window shows up with 2, 3, or 4 email tabs and that are each labeled "Untitled". Cannot be deleted using the "x" on the tab, red button or menu commands. Any ideas how to fix?????

The new mail app background color is always black We don't like the black background to the Mail app window. Only choice now is to change the message window ONLY to white (or black). Can't change the app window itself or the massage list section. WTF??

Fwd email stuck on screen email with attachment stuck bottom of screen.Not in drafts so won’t delete.Went to apple shop no fix

Hi,

Try booting into Safe Mode: How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support and see if the issue persists there.
