Apple Music student subscription

So I have currently use the same email for school as my Apple ID email as well . I wanted to change my subscription plan from regular individual to student since I am now a freshman in college. Every time I try to change my subscription it says my email is already in use, and won’t let me allow to change it. Please help me resolve this issue
