Different OS on older iMac and MBPro

I have an iMac 27" [2013] and a MBPro 15" [2017] Both are currently running Catalina which if the latest OS the iMac is compatible with.

If I upgrade my 2017 MBPro to Monterey, will I still be able to share files from common programs, i.e. Adobe Creative Cloud, DropBox, etc.?

Thanks in advance...

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.15

Yes, BUT you need to ensure that your third-party applications have full file format compatibility between software versions.
