All read and unread emails vanished

All read and unread emails received between 6-22-22  and  7-5-22 suddenly vanished from inbox and from specific mail folders to which I had previously moved them. This occurred on each of my devices, and also on the xfinity mail website. Is there a way to recover them?

Are they still on the web client's mail servers?

Mail allows local access to internet mail services. Unless there was a castrophic failure of a server, malicious activity or user intervention the emails should still be there.

If they're gone from the Comcast mail servers, and you did not delete them, you need to talk to Comcast. I have two active Comcast email accounts and I can tell you that both have been flakey for years.

Thank you for this information. Indeed, emails received during the specified time period are missing on the Xfinity/Comcast mail server (or whatever it's called when you access email via the Xfinity website). I am currently waiting for a response from Xfinity. I had no idea this thing could happen. For years I have tended to copy important received mail as pdfs and have exported selected mail folders as Mbox files -- thought this was silly. But now I see that it's not a bad idea if email is just going to suddenly vanish!
