Pop up warning message to clean memory

I have received this pop up message on my iPad.

Can anyone advise how to remove please. Should I be concerned re virus?

Authenticity of memory alert Is there one or more viruses than can cause your iPhone to create a very Apple branding looking message that says your device is about to run out of memory and starts a 2 minute countdown to download a cleaner app from App Store? It appears real but my phone memory is not even close to being full. If not a virus, how did this “promotion” get in my phone? How do I remove it? And how do I prevent this and similar “viruses??) from getting in my apple devices?

How to identify Virus cleaner scam alerts? I am getting a flash across my screen saying memory is getting full. But a cleaner. I ignored it because it is not full. I checked my storage. Now, it is flashing saying I have viruses on my iPhone and it will shut down if I do not cleaned up. Is this nothing but a scam. I play a word scramble game online for years.
