Photos access not working

On any of my instagram, Snapchat, Facebook accounts, if I try to add a post or story or profile picture (anything that requires photo library access) it says I have to allow access. So I tap to allow access and then it takes me to my settings and doesn’t give an option to allow access to photos. It has “Siri & search, notifications, background app refresh and cellular data” but nothing else to allow access. Please help!

Hello Rcdrumline00,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

If we understand your post correctly, while trying to add a post or story to some apps or a profile picture, it says that access is not allowed and when you tap allow tap access it takes you to settings and doesn't give an option to allow photos. We're here to help!

In order to allow access to your photos for apps do the following steps:

Settings > Choose the app that you want to allow access to.

Look for Photos and check to see if it is on or off. It is off click on Photos and either choose Selected Photos, All photos, or None.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

Take care!
