My husband has been waiting for Apple to send a passcode to my phone so he can gain access to his iPhone. He was told this information by a representative. It’s been 3 weeks now. Need help now!!

Spoke with another representative and she said that Apple is very finicky. They are sending a link to my husbands email so password can be reset. She also stated not to anything with Apple ID until he gets the link or it will cancel out automatically. He can only check status from my iPhone or it will cancel out as well. That’s most likely what happened last time. That was the first time we heard that information.

If he forgot his password, he should visit iforgot.apple.com.
His phone is locked. He can reset the device by tapping on "erase iPhone." He will then be asked to enter his Apple ID password (not the device passcode).

It is a security feature and a reminder to keep important passwords locked away (just in case). To be fair, you would have the same issues on any platform if you cannot recall your password.
Thank you for the reply, but he does not remember the password for the Apple ID. We are trying to use the Apple Watch to reset it but it’s very difficult to do
Yes we tried all that as well as downloading the Apple support app and trying to use a different app. It’s not letting us change it at all. We going to android
It’s ridiculous after verifying who you are multiple times and calling support that we still can’t get into this phone.
