Auto-capilization not working on my Macbook Pro

My auto-capitalization is not working although I have ticked all of the boxes in system preference > text. I have tried to make a new user on my Macbook and it worked. But the main user's auto capitalization still won't work. Please let me know if anyone has the solution to this issue. Thank you.
